Andrew Borene is President and CEO of a new combat robotics company and maker of more than 7,000 fielded “Throwbot” systems used by military, law enforcement and public safety agencies worldwide. Prior executive roles include global security director at Flashpoint, a threat intelligence firm and leadership positions at Fortune 500 firms that include IBM, Symantec, Booz Allen Hamilton, LexisNexis, and Wells Fargo. In government, Andrew was a senior staff officer at the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), an associate deputy general counsel at the Pentagon, an advisor at CIA, and he is a Marine Corps combat veteran. Andrew is a nonprofit board member with Special Operations Association of America and the European Marshall Center Partnership for Peace Consortium. He has a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA in Economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a past recipient of the FBI Director’s Award and the ODNI Exceptional Achievement Award.
