Craig Byrkit is Vice President and Information Security Officer at Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. Previously, he was Global Vice President, Information Security and Data Protection Officer at Reinsurance Group of America with Chief Information Security Officer oversight responsibilities. Before RGA, he was the RGAX Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer and managed global cybersecurity, data privacy, and physical security programs. At Edward Jones, Craig built and led information systems threat and vulnerability management, incident response, privacy, cyber risk and governance. Craig was an FBI Supervisory Special Agent prior to his private-sector roles, and helped establish the St. Louis FBI Cyber Task Force. Craig leads the St. Louis CISO board and is a founding member and adjunct professor for the Washington University in St. Louis Master of Cybersecurity Management program. He holds a doctorate, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees, along with Series 7 and 99 licenses.
