Cyber Security Advisor, Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI)
Tim Herman is an enterprise and business cyber security evangelist, business development executive, and creative connector. He is a Cyber Security Outreach Advisor for (NUARI) Norwich University Applied Research Institutes. NUARI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Research Institute/Think Tank that focuses on cybersecurity and cyber-warfare research to increase cyber resiliency in all critical infrastructure sectors. NUARI is connected to the oldest Senior Military College in the United States and relies heavily on its partnerships with SMEs in the intelligence community. In addition to Private Sector exercises NUARI designs and facilitates, they received DHS S&T funding to run No-Cost decision-based Cyber Security Exercises for organizations/associations in the Transportation and Energy sector.
Tim currently serves as Board President of InfraGard MN and is a past Event Director on the board of MNISSA.org. Tim is passionate about helping businesses and organizations be successful and previously served as Business Development Executive at MBA Engineering. This firm specializes in ICS/OT/IoT/IIoT/SCADA systems programming, integration, analytics, and cyber security, Director of Client Strategy and Success for an IT MSP, Executive Director of the East Side Area Business Association, Acting Director of Economic Development for a National Non-profit Organization, President of Small Business Connections, a business strategy, and consulting company. Tim has served on multiple boards and advisory committees with the City of Saint Paul, the Saint Paul Port Authority, and transportation commissions, including the Purple Line and Gold Line Advisory Board with the Met Council.
