July 18, 2022

This July Edition of our Cyber Security Summit Newsletter is focused broadly on the numerous opportunities in the cyber security industry and specifically for women and diverse workers. Organizations across all specialties in cyber are looking for talented people that can help them deliver on their expert-driven product or service that we are all counting on to keep us safe in all aspects of our lives.

Not unlike these businesses, our Cyber Security Summit organization and community is continually growing and new talent is raising their hand to contribute to our collective success.

We are proud to introduce the latest addition to our CSS Think Tank, and our Women in Cyber Track Chair, Kristine (Kristy) Livingston, Senior Manager of the Cyber Security Operations Center at Sleep Number and Adjunct Professor at Century College. Kristy joins a committed group of women who have built the Women in Cyber Track over the last three years into must attend development-focused, technical and networking sessions with the top women in cyber across all sectors.

I am honored and excited to Chair Cyber Women at the Cyber Security Summit. This year’s “Eyes Wide Open” theme will showcase some dynamic women in cyber as they discuss a range of topics from emerging threats, navigating obstacles and the human factor. Make sure to attend the Women in Cyber Luncheon hosted by Optiv. It will be an excellent opportunity to cultivate new relationships and connect with others we have not seen in a while.

The Women in Cyber Track will once again be a highlight of the Cyber Security Summit. This year as we transition to a new phase of the covid pandemic, we are facing the Great Resignation along with other Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) opportunities. These topics and others like C-suite and Board Communications and the usual Governance, Risk and Compliance all live in a new landscape that is being navigated by us, our security team and peers.

We invite ALL to come to the 12th Annual Cyber Security Summit on October 24-26, 2022 in Minneapolis, Minnesota with your eyes wide open to learn, connect and become part of this growing inclusive community of cyber professionals.”
